Last month, the turnover of the Russian retail increased by 1% compared to July 2016, to $ 2 trillion 505 billion rubles, Rosstat said on Thursday. Compared to June (1.2 percent), the dynamics slowed down.

In seven months, retail trade turnover in Russia decreased by 0.2% to 16 trillion 381 billion. The trade turnover of food products, beverages and tobacco in July increased 0.1% (up to $ 1 trillion 206,2 billion), the dynamics was positive for the first time since the beginning of 2015.

In June, the drop in sales of food products amounted to 0.6%, for seven months - 1.5% (turnover was 7 trillion 924,5 billion). Non-food sales in July increased by 1.9% after rising 2.9% in the previous month (up to 1 trillion 298,8 billion roubles).

In January-July the turnover of retail trade increased by 1% to 8 trillion 456,5 billion.
