Russia from September 1, removes restrictions on the supply of Turkey, lettuce, iceberg lettuce, zucchini, pumpkins and peppers, announced the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev in an interview with RBC.
"From September 1, Russia removes restrictions on the supply of Turkish lettuce, iceberg lettuce, zucchini, pumpkins and peppers. The decision was taken following the inspections, the Turkish plants by the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists in may of this year", — said the Minister.
He noted that Russia in turn relies on the tolerance of the Turkish market for Russian exporters of beef and poultry. "The removal of restrictions should be on both sides and to be mutual" — said Tkachev.
Previously, the Rosselkhoznadzor on phytosanitary considerations, banned the importation from Turkey of certain categories of plant products (tomato, pepper, pomegranate, eggplant, salads and iceberg lettuce, zucchini and pumpkins).
