Birds from 2 farms in County Tyrone were killed during flash floods during a storm in the North-West province.

Company Moy Park, one of the largest employers in Northern Ireland, said that was also caused damage to buildings on farms. The company management added that working closely with farmers and relevant authorities to help fully restore production in the near future.

Employees of the Department of agriculture, environment and rural Affairs C. Ireland, arrived on the scene to help local farmers cope with the effects of flooding. Permanent Secretary, Noel Lavery reported that many farmers suffered from floods: "we Have had reports of losses of livestock and damage to agricultural land from the valley Glenelly to the North-West."
