Let's just say, if we talk about relatively short history, it means very significant in comparison with what we had 10-15 years ago, I'm not talking about the 1990-ies. Try to every year farmers could count on the same level of state support, which in the previous year", — said Medvedev.

He noted that in 2017, the volume of state support was even 8 percent above the level in 2016. According to Medvedev, the implementation of the state program of development of agriculture this year there are 242 billion. He noted that the demand for agricultural products is growing in both domestic and foreign markets. "Our farmers can and have these opportunities to use", he added.

Medvedev recalled that this should contribute to the decisions taken by the government to restrict the supply of agricultural products from several countries. Medvedev said that there are a number of new proposals for expansion of state grain exporters from a range of regions, including by reducing transportation and logistics costs. As noted by the head of the government, a number of deputies of the State Duma have questions to the order of distribution of subsidies for the development of agriculture across regions and also according to the mechanism of preferential crediting.

"Of course, these processes are in any case should be absolutely clear and transparent for all participants and for the regional authorities and Federal Executive authorities, and colleagues-deputies, who represent the interests of the regions", — said Medvedev.

The Prime Minister said that he will appeal to President Vladimir Putin about the preservation of volumes of financing of agriculture in 2018. "I can't help but agree with what said Sergei Ivanovich Neverov in terms of the need to preserve the funding requirements for the development of agriculture next year. This will refer to the President of the country", — said Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting devoted to the progress of seasonal agricultural work. "The budget, of course, as usual, difficult, but we agreed several years ago that the spending on agriculture – protected part of the budget. From this position do not intend to retreat", — said the Prime Minister.
