In January-August of 2017, when compared to the same period last year, the production of buckwheat in the country increased by 38.9% (79,9 thousand tons).

The export of buckwheat for the period increased by 60.4%. In 2016 relative to 2015, there was a decline in exports of buckwheat groats by 20.5%. Then significantly increased the prices in the domestic market. In 2017, prices fell, which contributed to increase in export shipments.

Analysts predict that in January-August 2018 the price of buckwheat will be at low level. Dynamics September 2018 and will continue to determine the volume of harvest of buckwheat in 2018
