According to "Analysis of the market of egg products in Russia", prepared BusinesStat in 2017, in 2012-2016 the natural volume of their sales in the country increased by 73,2%: from 29.4 to 51,0 thousand tons per year the volume of sales of these products increased under the influence of growing demand from various branches of food industry: confectionery, oil and fat, meat, bakery etc.
On the Russian market of this product are mainly represented by domestic production. In the analyzed period the share of import supplies accounted for an average of 5.8% of domestic production. Over the past five years 2012-2016, the production of egg products in Russia increased by 64,6%, from 30.0 to 49,4 thousand tons production in the country annually demonstrated a positive trend and the highest growth rate occurred in 2013 and 23.3% in comparison with 2012.
At the moment, the volume of Russian export of egg products is negligible and the dynamics of this indicator may vary dramatically from year to year. Despite the fact that in 2016, the natural volume of exports from Russia increased in comparison with 2015 by 41.5% and amounted to 624,5 t, in General for the 2012-2016 dynamics of the indicator were negative. For the period exports of egg products from Russia to other countries reduced by 35.5%, which was primarily due to a decline in exports to Belarus. So, in 2012 the country was purchased 923,2 t of egg products produced in Russia, and in 2017 – only 279,5 t
It is expected that in 2017-2021 gg sale of egg products will show growth of 3.0 to 8.8% per year and reach the end of the period, compared to 67.3 thousand tons, which exceeds the level of 2016 32.0%.
