Dagestani companies are planning to start deliveries of rice and mutton in Tatarstan, TASS reported acting Minister of agriculture and food of Dagestan Kerimkhan Abasov.

"We have agreed that we will supply from 5 to 8 thousand tons of rice a year in Tatarstan. We plan to begin shipments in the third quarter of 2018 <...> But rice in Tatarstan it is planned to put lamb - about 2 thousand tons per year, with first deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter," said Abasov.

According to him, delivery will be carried out by private companies. In particular, the lamb will supply three companies located in Makhachkala, Kizlyar and Nogai areas of Dagestan.

Abasov noted that while entered into a preliminary agreement on the supply of officially signing scheduled during the upcoming visit to the Republic of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
