The Agency will be able to transmit information to retailers about manufacturers and the amount of catch. It is also planned to organize a system of storing fish. All this is done to ensure that the networks themselves have purchased the products from the fishermen, without intermediaries and dealers.

To organize direct purchases of pink salmon and other salmonids are willing to participate, the Association of retail companies (HSE), brings together the largest retailers.

According to August 28, the catch of salmon amounted to 538 thousand tons, which is 88% higher than on the same date in 2016 (the catch of salmon compared between even and odd years).

The fishermen noted weak demand from retailers, while selling price has hit bottom and is on the verge of cost - 80-90 rubles per kilo of pink salmon in the far East.

According to the results of salmon fishing season the catch may be close to a record of 520 thousand tons.

In 2017 in Russia was caught 353 thousand tonnes of Pacific salmon, in 2016 - 432 thousand tons, in 2015 - 375 thousand tons.

If the idea is implemented, it will directly affect the decline in the cost of valuable fish species, to acquire which currently may not all citizens of the country because of its high cost.
