Inflationary expectations of the Russian population in September for the next 12 months increased by 0.2 percentage points and reached 10.1%. It is noted that they remain at an elevated level after a surge in gasoline prices. However, in September the Russians were more concerned about rising prices on meat and poultry than the price of gasoline.

"The ongoing increase in meat prices may be another reason for the growth of inflationary expectations of the population in the coming months", — stated in the review of the Central Bank.

According to the survey, 41% of respondents when answering the question of which prices rose the most mention meat and poultry, 36% — gasoline. In third place (34%) are public utilities.
