According to the agriculture Ministry, the volume of the domestic organic market currently stands at 160 million euros. "However, given the potential for arable land, significant reserves of fresh water, increasing the use of modern technology in agriculture and growth in demand for such products, the domestic market in 2025 could reach a volume of 5 billion euros," - reports the Agency.

In 2020 Russia shall force the law on organic agriculture. He gives a clear definition of "organic production" and formulates the requirements. Among them - a separate production, a ban on the use of agrochemicals and pesticides, various growth promoters of animals. The Ministry of agriculture has prepared a road map for the implementation of the law on organics. The priorities in the framework is the creation of a single mark of organic products and the unified state register of organic producers, who will lead the agricultural Department. Labelling of organic products will be a combination of inscriptions and images (sign) organic products of a single sample, which can be put only those producers who have been certified.

"Thanks to the implementation of these measures, the whole chain of production and control of organic products will be one for all, transparent and controlled. This will significantly increase the trust of consumers - they will be able to find in the registry the manufacturer and find out all the essential information about it. The use of marks to distinguish it on the shelves of organic produce from another", - consider in the Ministry of agriculture.

As stated by Executive Director of the National organic Union Oleg Mironenko, an instruction to create a brand a new impetus to the development of the organic market.

"The order of the President directed to our sign organic matter to promote, in terms of recognition by international consumers and enhance confidence in such a product, recognizing that products with this sign is equivalent to any international organic products," he said.
