During the event discussed the current state of port capacity and the degree of their readiness for the new agricultural year, which begins July 1. The Deputy Minister reminded that the actual forecast for the grain harvest amounts to 118 million tons, of which 45 million tonnes is expected to be exported in the coming season.

"Crops are the main position of the Russian agricultural exports, in this regard, it is important to understand that there will be no failures in this area. Until June 10, the company will direct performance of the season 2019/2020, so we can compare their plans with the capacity to export," – said Oksana LUT.

In turn, representatives of the ports noted that currently, the terminals carry out scheduled maintenance and equipment upgrade – these works will be completed by the beginning of the season. They also talked about the order of interaction with exporters and their capabilities to meet the requests received for transshipment.

At the end of the meeting Oksana Lute stressed that the Ministry of agriculture aimed at effective cooperation with the participants of the grain market and is ready to promptly assist in solving various difficulties in different parts of the export process.
