The volume of imported finished food products (canned meat and fish, frozen foods, dairy foods) amounted to 14,961 thousand tons (20.8 percent), feed and feed additives – 8,685 thousand tons (12,2 %).

The total volume of products exported over the period amounted to nearly 72 thousand tons.

These data were obtained by employees of the Federal state budget institution "Russian state Center of quality and standardization medicines for animals and feed" (fgbi "VGNKI") as a result of analysis of information-analytical system "Argus".

Over the past week figure of 4,810 thousand tons were imported from Eurasian economic Union countries; from countries in the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation – 0,938 thousand tons; EU – 6,842 thousand tons.

Delivery of products to the territory of Russia in the period under review was mainly carried out by sea and road transportation. Marine (bilge) transport had 29,410 tons. Container shipping is approximately 14,491 thousand tons, motor transport – 24,454 thousand tons, rail transport – 3,423 thousand tons. The volume of products exported to Russia by aircraft, amounted to 0.3 thousand tons.

Last week the volume imported to Russia fish and seafood exceeded the volume of import of meat. Thus, the main types of imported products subject to veterinary supervision, during the period from 24 to 30 June 2019 was finished food products (canned meat and fish, frozen foods, dairy foods) – of 34.25% (17,747 thousand tons). Imports of fish and seafood had – 19,05% (9,872 thousand tonnes). Almost the same last week imported feed and feed additives and – 19,05% (9,871 thousand tons). The total volume of products exported over the period amounted to nearly 52 thousand tonnes.
