In the negotiations participated representatives of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Embassy of Venezuela in Russia, Russian companies-exporters, as well as the state company "Corpovex", responsible for import of grain crops in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During the talks, the Venezuelan side had informed about the high interest in imports of Russian wheat. According to the company "Corpovex", monthly Venezuela imports up to 120 thousand tons of wheat, mainly from the US and Canada.

Representatives of the company "Corpovex" gave the Russian side the requirements for imported wheat.

Specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor told about the system of state control over the quality and safety of grain in Russia and on the work of testing laboratories performing conformity assessment of the quality and safety of grain and products of its processing.

With the aim of an early start to the export of Russian grain supply to the Venezuelan market, the parties agreed on the necessity of negotiating and signing in the nearest future, a bilateral Protocol that would regulate requirements for wheat imported from Russia to Venezuela.
