The aim of these measures is the intensification of grain supply amid shortages of its supply in the domestic market, Reuters reported. As expected, this measure will help the country to significantly increase procurement of wheat on foreign markets to improve the food situation in the country.

Note that last month, private Indian importers contracted around 500 thousand tons of wheat, mostly from Australia.
