The agriculture Ministry hopes to keep the rapid decline in grain prices, said agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev at the XXVIII Congress of AKKOR.

"2016 was for the Russian agriculture a year of records. We got (grain harvest – ed.) about 119 million tons. Of course, this is a huge victory. Today it is very important to properly dispose of the grain and to maintain prices, which today, unfortunately, is rapidly declining. However, I hope we will be able to do it," — said Tkachev.

Earlier, the Minister of agriculture said that the strengthening of the ruble is a "serious disadvantage" for the Russian export, and "blow" for the Russian economy.
