The Venezuelan foreign Ministry said after a telephone conversation of presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin and Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro said that Russia is ready to supply the country with wheat for the baking industry.

"The Russian President expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation aimed at implementation of projects in the field of investment, trade and military-technical cooperation with a focus on agriculture and industry. Russia guarantees the delivery of several thousand tonnes of wheat per month in the trading relations of our countries", – reads the statement of the Venezuelan foreign Ministry.

Later, the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, speaking on national television, clarified that we are talking about approximately 60 thousand tons of Russian wheat per month, which will be supplied to the South American country.
