Despite the fact that November exports was the highest for the period, the export statistics of the first three months of the season 2017/18 (218,2 thousand tons) 24.6% lower than the same period last season when a record was exported to the Russian Federation the amount of flax seeds – 289,5 thousand tons. However, the exports remain at a high enough level.

The geography of export of Russian flax in the current 2017/18 season has not changed significantly. Still the main shipments going to European countries (64% of total exports), Turkey (11%), Vietnam (10%) and China (10%).

In addition, the first batch of flax from Russia in the 2017/18 season was staged in Pakistan and Tunisia.
