Belarus increased its imports of sunflower oil by 20%
According to the National statistics Committee of Belarus, in 2017, the import of sunflower oil rose to 114,8 thousand tons, which is 19% higher than in the previous year, reaching maximum values 2014

The main volumes of sunflower oil in 2017 were bought in Russia, which accounts for 80% of total imports, the remaining 20% exported to Ukraine.

Import of soybean oil in Belarus in 2017 declined significantly and amounted to 0.4 thousand tons compared to 6.5 million tons a year earlier, becoming the lowest in the last 6 years.

In the structure of import of soybean oil a key supplier by year-end 2017 was the Ukraine, occupying about 79% of the total imports.
