"The priority for the next three years - the construction of modern livestock farms, slaughterhouses, potato and meets all standards, increasing the share of family livestock firms. The ultimate goal of the program is to increase the share of self-sufficiency of the region's milk, meat, fish, crop, now in the Republic of sufficient only potatoes grown", - said Maltsev.

Earlier in the regional Ministry of agriculture stated that the authorities of the Komi intend to tighten the conditions for the granting of subsidies for the production of milk and meat. Economy, permitting a reduction in milk production and number of cows, will receive financial assistance on a smaller scale.

In the region is constructed and reconstructed seven farms on 1414 cows. By the end of 2017 in the Komi Republic is planned to increase the share of self-sufficiency milk from the current 23% to 27% (up to 58 thousand tons per year), meat from 28 to 32% to 26 thousand tons, vegetables - up to 5.7 tons, the Minister said.
