In two districts of Latvia Strenci and Burtnieki confirmed two new cases of African swine fever.
According to the European employee representative MAOO "Green Front", in each of the two areas found one dead wild boar infected with the ASF virus. Both areas, which are found in dead animals, are defined in the EU territory, where a recorded occurrence of ASF. In Latvia the first hearth disease of domestic pigs and the first case of African swine fever in wild boars were recorded on 26 June 2014. Today in Latvia confirmed a few dozen cases.
