The Eurasian economic Commission (EEC) will participate in joint inspections of the Belarusian meat processing enterprises, carried out by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the veterinary service of Belarus.

"Representatives of the Department of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary measures ECE 9 December 2014 will participate in joint inspections", - stated in the report of the Commission on the results of the meeting of its leadership with the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert. It is expected that this will allow us to remove the temporary restrictions on supplies of livestock products in Russia.

ECE during the meeting were presented by the Minister for technical regulation Valery Koreshkov, Minister for industry and agriculture, the Premier and the Minister for customs cooperation Vladimir Goshin.

Inclusion specialists ECE the audit team is the first such case in the work of the Commission, explained TASS Deputy head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alekseenko.

"This means the strengthening of the positions of the Eurasian economic Commission and the creation of uniform rules which will work on the territory of the Customs Union (CU). This is extremely important, because TC is expanding, and we cannot allow that individual States have their national rules in circulation products", - he believes.

Differences of opinion between Russia and Belarus on the issue of supplies of Belarusian meat products in Russia began after the Rosselkhoznadzor limited supply due to claims against its quality and safety.

So, 24-26 November were limited supplies of meat, meat and dairy products from 22 companies Belarus, including 18 due to violations of the requirements of food safety products and 4 due to the presence of the genome of the African swine fever (ASF).

The drop in the quality of the Rosselkhoznadzor connected, including a sharp increase in the production of meat products in Belarus amid entered Russia food sanctions against competing European products.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, commenting on the actions of the Rosselkhoznadzor, November 27, statedthat the Republic will be forced to respond to a limited supply of meat, meat and dairy products if trade between two countries will not be normalized.

He believes that "the behavior of the Russian authorities (prohibition - approx. as amended) is not surprising and depressing".

In December 2014, Russia and Belarus agreed on a schedule of joint inspections of Belarusian meat.
