Used by Iran, non-tariff measures of regulation of foreign trade were the main topic of the talks. The parties managed to reach an understanding in terms of measures of sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical barriers to trade, customs procedures, origin of goods, reported the press service of the Ministry of agriculture.

Currently, Iran is widely used restrictions on the importation of sensitive agricultural products, including grain, poultry, some fish, vegetables, eggs and other products. In case the parties of the agreements on the list of goods, the prohibitions will not apply to products included in this list.

The purpose of the agreement on free trade zone is opening up a wide range of goods to Iran, encourage mutual trade and increase turnover.
