MiFU is a special protein granules from milk that can be used to prepare various culinary dishes, they can easily replace meat and chicken, reports the press service of the company.

Interest in vegetarian nutrition and new sources of protein that can fully replace meat in Finland is constantly increasing. Therefore, the new product can be a great meat substitute for vegetarians, say the developers.

The product is produced at the Valio plant in seinäjoki (Finland) from the milk, which put the Finnish farmers - owners of Valio. MiFU, you can fry, bake until crispy, or use without heat treatment.

The novelty is presented in three flavor combinations: Original MiFU, MiFU "Mediterranean tomato sauce" MiFU "Mexican peppers". The model consists of themselves protein granules, and sauces with famous Finnish rapeseed oil, herbs and spices.

"The development of a product, which we called MiFU, began in 2009. We noticed how often our users are looking for an alternative to meat. Our division of research and development Valio R&D focused on the development of such a milk product that retains its specific properties when cooked at home (e.g. when frying), will have an acceptable shelf life, rich nutritional value and most importantly taste great. MiFU - this is certainly a unique product, recipe and production technology of which is patented", — said the Executive Vice President of Valio Tuomas, Kalushari.

Protein granules is a fundamentally new category among dairy products. In the near future is planned expansion of this line. MiFU will be supplied to export markets, believe the developers.
