Sudan after Russia has suspended deliveries of vegetables and fruits from Egypt
The government of the Sudan decided to suspend the supply of Egyptian vegetables, fruits and fish to the analysis of imported products and verification of safety and compliance with international and domestic standards, reported in Wednesday's news portal "Al-Savanna"

The decision was taken by the Ministry of Commerce of the Sudan, it includes these categories of products in fresh, frozen or dried. A ban on the supply has started to operate since Tuesday and until further notice, says the publication.

It is also reported that the reason for the suspension of imports could be received in a recent international complaints about the quality of some types of fresh Egyptian vegetables and fruits, in particular strawberries, which allegedly could cause a number of serious diseases.

In early September, the Rosselkhoznadzor expressed its concern about systematic violations of phytosanitary requirements during the export of plant products from Egypt to Russia. The service has indicated that the Egyptian authorities failed to take adequate measures to remedy the situation. As a result, from September 22, Russia imposes temporary restrictions on import to Russia of Egyptian plant products.

In Russia on September 26, will come the technical Commission formed by the Ministry of industry and trade of Egypt with the participation of quarantine service of plants.
