In December 2016, chilled and frozen chickens in Russia cost an average 138,49 RUB/kg, which is 0.4% more than in the previous month, and 3.6% more than in December 2015. Since the beginning of the year the price rose 4.9%.

For the period from January 2014 the minimum price of the chickens was recorded in March 2014: 106,49 RUB/kg; the maximum – in January 2015 – 140,15 rbl./kg.

The most expensive chickens in December 2016, were sold in the far Eastern Federal district (RUB 185,83/kg), the cheapest in the Volga Federal district (RUB 127,27/kg).
