It is reported that recently, a meeting of the Chairman of Gospodarevskaya Volodymyr Lapa and representatives of the world organization for animal health (OIE) from Egypt to restore the export of beef to Egypt.

During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of recovery of exports of beef from Ukraine to Egypt in connection with the absence in Ukraine of status of country with controlled risk of spongiform encephalopathy of cattle (GE red).

Representatives of Gospodarevskaya noted that in Ukraine from 2017 the program is running to determine the status of Ukraine as a country with controlled risk of GE cattle, and provided the materials for the control of GE cattle in Ukraine.

"As a result of the meeting, the Egyptian side has promised to make all efforts to remove the restrictions on slaughter of cattle, recognition of the Ukrainian centres for Halal certification for Egypt and further cooperation between the two countries", – said the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
