"Overall, YTD exports (fruits and vegetables) amounted to 78 thousand tons. Most of the products traditionally exported to the Russian Federation - 74 thousand tons. Second place goes to Georgia, where it was exported 3.5 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables. Next are the United Arab Emirates, Belarus and Ukraine", — he said at a press conference on Friday.

However, the Deputy Minister drew attention to the fact that manufacturers in Armenia today purchased 35 thousand tonnes of fruit and vegetables, that on 3 thousand tons more than last year. Procurement work is ongoing with no serious problems.

In 2016, Armenia exported 143 thousand tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, which is two times more than in 2015.
