Among the major importers of Russian agricultural machinery in 2017 was the CIS countries, European Union countries, Mongolia and Canada.

Last year deliveries of Russian military equipment in Mongolia has increased 6.6 times, in Armenia – in 6,5 times, in Canada – 2.9 times, in Bulgaria – 2.8% Hungary 2.7%, Netherlands – 2 times, Poland – 78%, Slovakia – by 73%, in Uzbekistan – by 68%, in Moldova – by 58%.

Supplies from Russia abroad of agricultural tractors increased by 63% to 330 units, equipment for post-harvest handling of the crop by 50% to 560 units, tillage equipment, 31% to 783 units, seeding equipment – by 24% to 536 units.

One of the main reasons for export growth is to improve the quality of domestic agromashin and release new lines of equipment. Only in 2017, with serial production and delivered more than 150 new models.

In addition, the increase in the volume of domestic exports agromashin associated with the preservation of existing and introduction of new support measures. Among them is the subsidizing of part of expenses on transportation of production, certification of products in foreign markets when implementing investment projects, subsidizing of part of expenses connected with participation in Congress and exhibition events for promotion of products on foreign markets and other measures.

To promote the production of domestic plants abroad, the Association "Rosspetsmash" together with the Ministry of industry and trade will organize their participation in major international exhibitions and conducting business missions in foreign countries. Practice shows that businesses that take an active part in these events achieve the greatest success in developing its exports.

Positive impact on the implementation of the export potential of Russian producers of agricultural machinery has a Strategy of export development in the sector of agricultural engineering for the period till 2025, approved by the Russian Government on 31 August 2017. Optimistic scenario of the strategy envisages the expansion of the geography of supplies of Russian agricultural machinery to 65 countries in 2025 and the increase in exports during this period up to 30 billion rubles.
