Argentina has banned the supply of beef with antibiotics in Russia.
Argentina has banned the supply of beef in the Russian Federation on the enterprises that used antibiotics, said at a meeting with Rosselkhoznadzor attaché on agriculture of the Embassy of this country Alonso, Pablo Ferrando, whose words are contained in the release office.

"The parties discussed the recent cases of detection by the Rosselkhoznadzor of antibiotics in Argentine beef, as well as the measures to be taken by the national service for animal health and agricultural quality of Argentina (SENASA) to ensure supply of safe beef to Russia. As assured the Russian side that Mr. Ferrando, enterprises in the production of which revealed violations, has received a ban on the supply of beef to Russia", — stated in the message.

In may, the Rosselkhoznadzor has stated that they are concerned with detection of antibiotics in the livestock products coming from Argentina and in case of continuing violations has restrictions on imports.

 
 

According to the Federal customs service (FCS), the import of products and agricultural raw materials to Russia from Argentina to 2017, amounted to 578,92 million dollars (2% of the total import of agricultural products). The country occupies a small share in the imports of beef and pork (1%), however, delivers 51% of imported in Russia horse meat is a main supplier (41%) of edible offal of bovine animals, swine, sheep, goats and horses.
