From Kazakhstan to Afghanistan sent a freight train of flour on the new route length of 3.5 thousand km, reported on July 18, the press service of JSC "Kazakhstan Railways".

The train will head on route Kostanay — Balashka — Serkhetabad (Turkmenistan). Generalnoy Director for operations of JSC "KTZ-Freight transport" Mukhtar Jambulov added that the new route allows to increase the transit potential of Kazakhstan.

We will remind, for the first six months of 2018 Kazakhstan exported 4.2 million tons of grain, which is 56% higher than the same period of 2017. The volume of transportation of flour increased by 8% to 1.2 million tonnes.
