Valio took over production of Russian cheese

Some foods – non-dairy drinks, dry products for children, lactose-free products (ice cream and milk) come from Finland.

From 2014 to 2017, the Finnish company has released in Russia more than 120 new products.

"Of course, in order to reach the sales level before the embargo, companies still have a lot of work, but sales of the Russian assortment is growing each year. Last year, they exceeded the performance of the 2014 one and a half times, and the results of the sale of the entire range in 2017 exceeded the end of 2016 by 14%. This year we are also seeing good momentum, but the final results will be announced later," – said in Valio.

The total investment Valio in Russia, according to September 2018, amounted to 67 million euros. According to SPARK, the revenue Valio in 2017 stood at 5.98 billion.
