"The heads of the Department of agriculture sent a separate circular letter on the need to strengthen measures to implement the targets of the current year and step up efforts to ensure insurance protection of agricultural enterprises in 2019. NSA together with regional authorities, APK will enhance the work of ensuring the presence in subjects of the Russian Federation of insurance companies willing to take risks to farmers in terms of government support, and organizes outreach activities with farmers with the aim of increasing their interest in the mechanism of agricultural insurance. In 2018, the NSA has already conducted about 30 such events, including in the last 2 months – in the Republic of Crimea, Tambov, Orel and Irkutsk regions, the Altai territory," – commented on the Roots of Beidou the results of the working meeting.

NSA continues the analytical preparatory work for the expansion of the insurance products by incorporating such areas as insurance of certain risks, index insurance and risk insurance overwintering of winter crops, said the President of the Union.

Insurance companies, who are members of NSA do not have the right to enter into contracts of insurance with state support. The creation of a centralized system of agricultural insurance in the Russian Federation is provided by Federal law 22.12.2014 No. 424-FZ on amendments to the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." №260-FZ.
