Sugar beet crops not to be reduced – Soyuzrossakhar
In 2014 sugar beet crops area will remain at last year's level - about 900 thousand hectares.

- Chairman of the board of the Sugar Producers Union of Russia Andrey Bodin declared preservation of the area of sugar beet crops in the Russian Federation in 2014 approximately at a level of the last year – about 900 thousand hectares (-0,6% in comparison with the last year).
- The area of crops will be reduced in Central federal district by 4,2% to 479 thousand hectares, in Volga district - by 1,5% to 203 thousand hectares and North Caucasian district – by 7,7% to 36 thousand hectares.
