Four trucks with lactose-free milk, Valio detained on the border of Finland and Russia, according to RIA Novosti with reference to the Helsinki Times.

According to the newspaper, Russian customs officials require a certificate confirming the absence of lactose in milk. "This requirement came out of nowhere", - quotes the newspaper Director of communications company Valio Pia Kontunen.

The body responsible for food safety in Finland (EVIRA), said that trying to find out what documents he wants to get the Russian customs. According to officials, this kind of certificates was not previously required.

Finland reports that the FSD is that the lactose-free dairy products, the import of which in Russia was permitted under the amendments to the list of goods prohibited to be imported into Russia, namely milk, yogurt, cottage cheese and sour cream.

For the safety of products Finns do not worry, because the trucks are equipped with cooling systems.

Previously, the company Valio saidthat is not yet able to import lactose-free products because of problems with the design. The Valio group previously reported that resumes the supply of lactose-free milk in Russia from August 25. The representative of the concern and promised that "the milk will come primarily in the shops of Moscow and St. Petersburg" and "we are talking about several tens of tons". He also promised that later will begin exports and other types of lactose-free products.
