Kurgan region plans by 2020 to double the production of grain, milk and meat. For this purpose, according to the regional program, presented at the V international agro-industrial exhibition UFR (Urals Federal district), the region intends to raise about 60 billion rubles of investments.

According to the document, by 2020, meat production is expected to grow to 170 thousand tons (71 thousand tons in 2013), grain production to 3 million tons per year (1.3 million tons in 2013), and milk to 600 thousand tons per year (344 tons in 2013).

As told ITAR-TASS head of rural development Department of agriculture and processing industry of the Kurgan region Nikolai Yevstratenko to implement the program, you must build 34 farm of cattle, 23 pig, 3 poultry.

"We have formed a platform for the construction of complexes, there is an intensive search for investors, "he said, negotiations are underway. I think that if we manage to reduce electricity prices, which have deterred investors, we will attract investment."
