Kurgan region plans by 2020 to double the production of grain, milk and meat. For this purpose, according to the regional program, presented at the V international agro-industrial exhibition UFR (Urals Federal district), the region intends to raise about 60 billion rubles of investments.
According to the document, by 2020, meat production is expected to grow to 170 thousand tons (71 thousand tons in 2013), grain production to 3 million tons per year (1.3 million tons in 2013), and milk to 600 thousand tons per year (344 tons in 2013).
