Average prices for wheat of the 3rd class in the European part of Russia grew by 8% to 8.9 thousand rubles per ton as of 20 November. This is stated in the weekly monitoring of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.

"Last week from 17 to 23 November 2014 on the Russian grain market has had a tendency to increase prices due to the weakening of the ruble, and a waiting position of domestic agricultural producers", - stated in the materials of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia.

Growth rates for wheat of the 3rd class in the Asian part of Russia for a week was even larger and amounted to 12.8% to 8.75 thousand rubles per ton.

At the same time increased wholesale prices for wheat and rye flour in the European part of Russia, according to the materials of the Ministry. The average price of wheat flour as at 20 November 2014 increased by 3.6% to 13 440 rubles per ton.

Average consumer prices for bread made of wheat flour of the 1st and 2nd grades for the week increased by 0.2% to 37,27 rubles per kilogram.
