The import of meat for 9 months fell by 20%, poultry meat - by 16%, fish - by 5%.

At the same time the import of ready-made and canned meat products has increased in 2 times in January-September 2014, compared with three quarters of 2013. In September 2014 the import of these products was 12% compared to August and 28% by September 2013.

Imports of milk powder fell by almost 22% over the first 9 months of 2014 compared to the same period of 2013. In September 2014 the fall amounted to 50 percent by August, and 54% by September 2013.

While the import of foreign ashumenova milk and cream increased for 9 months, 16.5%, but in September 2014, the imports of goods fell by 38% compared with August 2014. Compared to September 2013, the decline was 31% .

The importation of potatoes for the first 9 months of 2014 increased by 54% compared to the same period in 2013, but in September, imports fell by 50% compared to August.

The import of apples decreased for the first 9 months of 2014, at 14%, while in September grew by 15.7% as compared with September 2013, a decline of 36.5%.

Imports of raw sugar for 9 months of 2014 increased by 40%, white sugar - 3.8 times, the import of chocolate decreased by 22% compared to the same period last year.

The cost of food imports in September 2014 amounted to $ 2.9 billion, which is 11.3% less than in the same month last year. In the three quarter of 2014 Russia imported food 29.7 billion, a fall in monetary terms amounted to 1.7% compared with the same period of 2013.

Ban on imports of a number of food types from the USA, Canada, countries of the European Union was introduced by Russia on August 7, 2014 in response to economic sanctions by these States. This is actually the supply of raw meat from Europe were restricted from January 2014 because of the threat of African swine fever.
