APH Miratorg, the largest operator of the meat market in Russia, announced that it has entered into the list of strategic enterprises of the Russian Federation and plans to expand production of high-quality domestic meat with the support of the state.

The Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation presented a list of companies which have a significant effect on the formation of GDP, employment and social stability. Profits of companies included in the list generates more than 70% of the total national income, and the number of employees is more than 20% of the total number of employed in the economy.

Miratorg employing more than 20 thousand employees, a significant portion of that work in the rural regions of the country, occupies the first place among Russian pork producers with a share of 12.7% and is actively expanding production of main kinds of meat in the framework of the strategy of import substitution.

Holding with the support of Vnesheconombank and the Russian government has launched a major expansion project of beef production, which provides for increased cattle specialized meat breeds Aberdeen Angus more than doubled to 700 thousand heads and replacement of more than 20% of the import of this type of meat in Russia.
