President of the National Union of agricultural insurers Roots biggov participated in the Commission's meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation on the crop, application of chemicals, plant protection and land reclamation.

The Commission meeting was held on March 19. It was dedicated to the draft amendments to the draft regulatory documents of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, regulating the maximum levels of minimum prices for grain. The meeting was chaired by the President of the National Union of grain producers Paul skurihina. It was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of the Union of sugar producers of Russia" Andrey Bodin, the President of the Russian grain Union Arkady Zlochevsky, the General Director of LLC "ICARUS" and Director of the Center for the study of agribusiness IMEMO Dmitry Rylko, and others.

"The Commission discussed the need to increase the level of intervention prices with the growth of production costs, - commented the President of the NRA Roots biggov. - According to the Commission, in 2015 in the Central black earth region the cost of production of winter wheat in terms of 1 hectare increased by 31%, spring wheat by 37% compared to the previous year. The NIC supports the initiative of the farmers about the increased purchase prices, since the decline of profitability of agricultural production adversely affects the applicable agricultural technologies that, in turn, lowers productivity, and dramatically increases the probability of occurrence of insured events".
