Belarus introduced temporary restrictions on pork imports from some regions of Russia, Ukraine and Poland because there was cases of African swine fever (ASF).

"The Department of veterinary and food supervision of the Ministry of agriculture reports that according to the International epizootic Bureau on the territory of Saratov and Ivanovo regions of the Russian Federation registered new cases of the disease susceptible species of animals African swine fever", – stated in the message of Department.

Similar cases have been registered in Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, Mazowieckie, Podlasie and Lublin voivodships of Poland.

In this regard, on February 22 imposes temporary restrictions on import to the territory of Belarus from these regions of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Poland live pigs, pork, including meat of wild boar, by-products, leather, rogakopita and raw intestines, hair, hunting trophies, and feed, second-hand equipment for keeping, slaughter and butchering of pigs.

Canceled all previously issued permits for import of such products from these regions.
