The loss of the Russian confectioners from restrictions on the export of chocolate and chocolate products in Ukraine was estimated at the Center of research of the confectionery market (CICR).

"The Russian manufacturers of confectionery products has long been expanding in new markets, so to compensate in the medium term, falling from over protective duties of the volumes, the task is feasible. Nevertheless, Ukraine had a significant volume of deliveries, and according to the calculations of Russian confectioners ZIKR only at the end of 2017 can receive about $15-17 million", — said the Executive Director of the Center for research of the confectionery market Elizaveta Nikitina.

Ukraine is the sixth-largest purchaser of this kind of sweets, it accounts for almost 5% of Russia's export chocolate products. So, in 2016 the Ukrainian market were exported 7.5 thousand tons of chocolate confectionery products in the amount of $22.9 million In the center to specify that the regions of the suppliers of sweets in Ukraine – Moscow and Moscow oblast, and Penza, Rostov and Samara region with a share of 65% of total exports.
