In 2018, a new form of state support for purchase of pedigree dairy cattle in the amount of 120 million rubles.

Priority - the purchase of breeding heifers and heifers of the dairy direction of efficiency. It is planned this year to acquire a 1.6 million heads, which will give an additional increase in the milk 2019, about 12 thousand tons.

This was announced by first Deputy head of the regional agrarian Department Alexey Rudenko at the weekly meeting in the regional Ministry of agriculture to discuss the development of dairy in the region.

Also currently on the Stavropol territory implemented 3 investment projects in dairy cattle breeding. Productive livestock amounted to 6.7 thousand heads, including 2 thousand heads of dairy goats. Annual milk production is expected to reach 39 thousand tons.

—Implementation of measures with the state support will allow to 2021 to increase production of marketable milk in agricultural organizations and K(f)X up to 260 thousand tons with an increase of 48% and the number of dairy cattle productivity to 41 thousand heads with an increase of 36% - said Alexey Rudenko.
