This was stated to journalists by the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev. "At least, we will offer a zero option, as a maximum - we liquidate it", - said the head of the Ministry of agriculture.

The Minister, however, said that the question of the fate of the export duty will be discussed. "At the time she made a very serious support to the market, this is the most effective compromise, which played a crucial role at that time," he said.

The Russian Federation nullified the export duty on wheat from September 23, 2016 to July 1, 2018. Duty was introduced from 1 July 2015 to stabilize the situation on the grain market. Its size was changed several times. From 1 October 2015 the fee was 50% of the customs value minus 6.5 thousand rubles, but not less than 10 rubles per ton.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of agriculture, this agricultural year (July 2017-June 2018) Russia may export 52-53 million tons of grain. To date, the exports amounted to nearly 38 million tons, which is 40% higher compared to the previous agricultural year.
