Israel is ready for the year 3 times to increase the supply of agricultural products in the Russian Federation
According to the Minister of agriculture of Israel, the country is ready to supply not only fruits and vegetables, but also meat and dairy products.

Israeli farmers can triple the supply of its products to the Russian market, which closed for competitors from the European Union and the United States, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the words of the Minister of agriculture Yair Shamir.

The Minister noted that to increase exports to Russia will be able not only vegetables and fruits, but also supply new for the Russian market for Israeli goods - meat poultry, milk and dairy products.

"We can grow to a billion dollars. Easy. Of course, this is not the 40 billion that Russia spent for procurement in Europe, but a billion in the short term we can do. I'm talking about the year, if Russia will remove barriers to the supply of chicken. We sell worldwide. In Russia it is not only because of bureaucracy", - Shamir.

"Our chicken complies with European standards. <...> It is possible to adjust the supply of milk and dairy products. The milk will be slightly more expensive by 10%than in Europe - where it is subsidized by the state. But if we talk about cheese but not milk as such, the difference will be minimal, "said Shamir.

Shamir noted that even after the removal of the embargo on European products of Israeli goods will not disappear from the Russian market. "Even if sanctions are weak, I am confident that our products will continue to come to Russia. With us easier, cheaper, more stable and without any political charges - what you can do, and what not", he said.

According to the Israeli agricultural Ministry, Russia is the second largest after the EU market for agricultural products. In the ten years from 2003 to 2013, deliveries in monetary terms has increased eight - fold to 324,5 million with $ 40 million. Since the beginning of this year, even before the entry of sanctions for EU export growth, according to Israeli estimates, amounted to about 20%. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of agriculture cites data showing that for the first seven months of 2014 Russia's imports from Israel increased in value terms by 8.2%, while exports to Russia to Israel - 16.6%.
