The Ministry of agriculture has sent an appeal to the government to consider abolition of export duty on wheat. This was announced by the President of the Russian grain Union (RGU) Arkady Zlochevsky during the conference "black sea grain and oilseeds 2017/2018".

"The fee still has not been abolished, it changed to 1 July 2018. Nothing to do, so she returned to 1 July 2018. The Ministry sent a month ago the appeal to governments with a request to consider the abolition of this duty, but while she was there and not cancelled", — said Zlochevsky.

The Director of the Department of market regulation of agriculture Anatoly Kutsenko refused to comment on the issue of the treatment of the Ministry in the government on the question of cancellation of export duties for wheat.

Russia has introduced an export duty on wheat from February 1, 2015 to stabilize the situation on the domestic grain market because of the fall of the ruble to export grain became more profitable than selling within the country. In the fall of 2016, the fee was zero until 1 July 2018. Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that the government has no plans to return the export duty.
